in September 2006, Gothaer Allgemeine issued a € 250 million hybrid bond to German and international investors which turned out to be quite a winner. Thanks to a very successful pan-European road show and in spite of the fact that it was our Group's first capital markets transaction, we were able to sell 56% of the bond to investors outside of Germany.
During our road show, some investors asked us about Gothaer's investor relations. Since we are a very traditional mutual insurance group, we may well have not given investor relations their due up to this point. German law only requires us to publish our financial statements annually. Nonetheless, we are now publishing these investor relations pages in the web in answer to your demand for more information.
